Her sudden departure at age 58 leaves a void felt deeply by family and friends who knew her warmth and dedication.
A Life Rooted in Arkansas Heritage

Her roots ran deep in Arkansas soil, from her birth in Fort Smith to her long residence in Van Buren. Membership at Heritage Church provided spiritual grounding and community connection, reflecting values she held dear throughout her nearly six decades.
Decades of Marriage and a Loving Family
Tammy shared almost 35 years of marriage with her husband, John Burkett, building a family that grew to include three daughters and a son. Felicia Thomas lives in Van Buren with her husband Montana; Jessica Courtway resides in Fayetteville alongside husband Allen; Haley Burkett remains in Van Buren; and son Joshua Burkett, married to Brandy, also calls the area home. Her father, Venson Tobey, survives her along with his wife Cindy in Mulberry.
